Standard Pacific Homes - Craftsmanship, and cleanliness is non-existent
We just closed on our home in Anthem, Broomfield, CO. The punch list was long with issues that had been identified by us months in advance of closing and only grew longer as the finish work ensued.
The drywall, paint and related finish work is hideous. Not a square, or straight/plum corner in the house. Most walls are waving and all stair landings are noticeably not level. No evident pride of workmanship or quality exists.
The unfinished basement was left "unfinished"--not a sign of cleaning.
Trash in window wells was simply covered by rock. Worst yet, the super is simply waiting for warranty to take over.
Reason of review: Bad quality.
Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.
Standard Pacific Homes Pros: Location.
Standard Pacific Homes Cons: Quality of construction, Pride of workmanship, Lack of care.
Location: Broomfield, Colorado

Thanks for the comment. I was considering purchasing a Standard Pacific home in San Diego, CA.
I had toured a couple of their communities. At the last one, I noticed quite a few issues in the models. One of their doors can't close, bad moulding job, and cracks in the caulk and even mortar in ALL the bathrooms. It was shocking because these was their model homes - shouldn't the "model" of anything be the best because it is the face of the things you're trying to sell?
Anyways, I wasn't sure if this was a builder or contractor issue, so I thought I'd check their reviews.
Thank you for your post. It definitely confirm my thought of staying away from them.
