My husband and I were very excited thinking about the possibility of purchasing and designing our home with Standard Pacific. We had opted to do several upgrades to the base model home that started at 530K with a premium lot fee and well over a 150K in upgrades, we would easily be at $700,000.

We decided to visit the Design Center (open house) as our Sales Agent had directed.What an incredibly disappointing experience that was. I was very disappointed in the poor level of customer service that we experienced! Holly was very disengaged, rude and offered zero guidance in explaining "anything" to us.

Holly made it very clear that until we were in a contract we could not and would not learn anything about the $150K we would be spending on upgrades.

My Husband I and I have decided that we will not be purchasing this home based on the level of poor customer service that we received from Holly at the Design Center. Designing our home should be a fun and rewarding experience.

We had a great Sales Agent that we thoroughly enjoyed working with named Terri as well as a very nice lady that had assisted us on a couple of different ocassions - Charlene.

I would highly encourage the overall leader of the Design Center Team to relieve Holly from her misery as an attendant for your showroom and set her free to do something that she enjoys and would excel in.

Standard Pacific Homes Pros: Terri has a can do attitude and a great personality, Location, Others were professional, Charlene was very caring and loving.

So what builder did you guys decide to go with? I'm looking at Pulte, Knotts and Lennar, but EVERYBODY has poor reviews.

I definitely agree about the design center, not so much Holly, but the center in general. I was sent on Tuesday when "anyone can go" from 4-7 and the ladies working in there were helping everyone but me...the only thing they asked was "did I have an appointment to be in there"...

That's about 100% accurate. We're in the process/misery of buying a stanpac home and I'd rather replace Holly with an inarticulate giraffe.

Thankfully, this is our second build, so we know what to expect and how the process works.

Certainly didn't get that from Stanpac.

They Should be glorified hookers...paid to make me happy....where's my refund???

I will say we're continuing with the process because of the builder in the Chapel Cove community, Jason. He's the sole reason we're pressing on. Totally their best asset.
